Hardened swingers are normally people that swing regular,goto clubs,parties or have meets often... when they do they are more likely to have fun..lt doesn't mean they shag anyone or are it fussy... Then you have the opposite "Social Swingers " the kind that goto places often and like the idea but actually never do anything..

to my mind a hardened swinger is someone who views it as a lifestyle where their social life is one centered around swinging and all spare time is spent doing it whereas a non hardened swinger just enjoys it as and when it happens and has many interests outside of swinging
this is just my take on it but as with most things its open to interpretation |

See I disagree with the above, but then I think it's one of those questions that if you asked 10 people, most of them would give you a different answer.
I see hardened swingers more as those whos lives revolve completely around swinging.
Don't agree that hardened swingers can't be fussy...... |

for some sex swinging is like a drug the more thay get the more thay like and dont care who its with and it takes over there life ... i have come across some of them in my time ... and not fussy where or when or who.

People use the term hardened swinger to denigrate those whose sexual behaviour they do not agree with...its like those who say they prefer quality over quantity (cos the rest of us are looking for crap sex).
It is just another label some like to use ot claim they are better than others. |

Hardened swinger to me is somebody who does not go through a modicum of conversation, pleasantries or social interaction but straight to sex? Not saying that s wrong - each to their own but thats what would be one aspect of being a hardened swinger. Another one would be the notches on bedpost approach and there are a few other indicators..
I'm glad this isnt an exam question though |

To us a hardened swinger is one who is sure it's what they want , no doubts or pussyfooting about with what they want .

I see it as those where swinging is the be all and end all if their lives. All their social and family life merges, even their annual holiday is to a swinging resort. If a meet cancels it's tantamount to a death in the family and their first port of call is the forums to complain...even if they've been given notice.

I come on here a lot but usually im at work or nosing on my phone so the amount of time im actually looking compaired to the amount of time im logged in is small, however some think because your logged on your after a shag, they ask me if they can come round while my kids are in bed, ive been told to send my child to the park before so they could nip round for a quick and alsorts but the thing is some people actually do this, to me thats a hardened swinger |

Hardened Swingers is usually used in the negative (e.g. "We're not hardened Swingers") and simply means very experienced Swingers who are very active in the scene. The reason this term is often used in the negative is because a lot of people who swing do not necessarily live, eat and breath swinging. Saying, "We're not hardened Swingers", is usually just another way of saying, "It's OK, we're normal and balanced, honest!" |

It's more a state of mind rather than a definitive number or time span. I always think its not something people use on themselves rather on others for some reason or other they would not meet. Often I think its a derogatory term so avoid using it with people. Hope that helps. |

As can be seen from other posts its something that means different things to different people so I won't try and define it for others rather explain how and why I use it. A bit like "we know what we mean but..."
I have used it twice this week in 2 different threads (and I meant it in a derogatory way) about couples that were trying to force their way of swinging on the rest of us by saying basically 'if you don't play like this then you aren't swingers you are timewasters' and criticised others for how they wished to play.
I wouldn't want to be known as a hardened swinger and wouldn't wish to meet them so I think it is when people have no regard for the social, interractive or friendship side of all this (while I do), just want to 'turn up, shag and leave' (which I certainly don't) and see the number of meets as some sort of scoreboard (I am happy to come in last on this).
But again to each their own and personal preferences must be respected (if not shared).
Lastly I don't have a Swing App on my phone but I do use it to check and send my messages and look at the Threads but I don't think this qualifies me as a Hardened Swinger. I bloody hope not! |

To us hardened is a term used to describe someone you think is mechanical and has no passion and it is all about the mechanics combined with an orgasm and very little emotion is involved. |
