The majority of adults aren't members of a site like this and meeting others for NSA sex though - if you're not meeting or haven't met then yes you shouldn't necessarily need to get tested - if you have or are intending to do so, it would be the responsible thing to do |

I think humour is a good way to get a point across but also for exposing the flaws in things.
For example my home about it being ok to go unprotected in Lidl because we know and trust everyone in there. People do actually use this as a reason not to test. |

I swear by it and have actually found it's quicker than going to a clinic - usually get results within 2-3 days rather than 5-7 with the clinic.
Still go to the clinic every now and then as I like to chat and keep informed of any new developments plus they can check my Hep B levels which the postal thing doesn't |

It's not if you bag up |

We test every three months with the postal check service.
Order the kit, really easy.
If you delay taking the test they even send you a reminder text message.
We do it together, only takes a few minutes.
Everyone in our community should test. Condoms don’t stop everything and you owe it to your future playmates to know you’re clean.

Yep, occasional clinic as well but the postal service we have here includes throat and rectum swabs.
The clinic offers Hep vaccinations when needed. |

2 weeks ago. Also got home test kit already for the next one.
You may KNOW the person you are playing with is trustworthy, but you don’t know how trustworthy the people they are playing with are. So in essence you are trusting strangers to be clean. You may as well bareback an escort. Fuck that. Get tested |

"I wish they did postal in Wiltshire. I have an 80 mile round trip for my local walk in and even then I'm not guaranteed to be seen, depends how busy they are.
Alot of the more local services are aimed at the under 25's!!
"
Just a quick update...
After a long search on the net, I've now found a free test for the Wiltshire area. Search freetest.me . I've just ordered mine |

Why is it hypocritical ? I could ask people what is the last meat they ate despite not eating it myself. |

"Still this doesnt dictate your clean? Just not got the common stis"
You're correct routine testing doesn't test for HSV and HPV, as well as others, and that is all part of the risk assessment we each have to make for ourselves along with ensuring we are informed and aware of those risks and the various STIs out there - I find sh24.org.uk to be an excellent site for doing just that.

How do you assess the couple/person? If they have no symptoms or signs its a blind gamble |

You don't - you assess what level of risk is acceptable to *you* and act based on that assessment.
While you can never *know* for sure I also find being open and honest about your attitude to sexual health and discussing it with people you are potentially meeting is a good way to get a "feel" for whether your thinking is aligned - although obviously in something like a club environment that's not necessarily practical or conducive to the atmosphere - which is why it comes down to personal risk assessment and what risks are acceptable and which are not to you as an individual. |

Beginning of January and all clear. I get tested every two months like clockwork despite playing a lot less for duration of pregnancy. It's free, costs me a teeny hole in my arm, a smidgen of blood, the indignity of sticking giant cotton buds in all my wet places and gives me complete peace of mind for me and womb resident. Usually I am tested every three months whether have been playing or not as have two fluid-bound partners aka partners with whom I have unprotected sex and so we all take responsibility for the safety of all the others as well as ourselves. |

I get tested very regular and it's not the people of fab that worry me it's the women I meet on nights out or on dating apps. I do always play safe but some women who are not In the swinging world have literally never been tested and don't even realise it's a thing that you do. |

To be fair I don't think the poster was suggesting they were using PrEP as their only source of protection - in fact if you read their profile it says they only play safe - PrEP is just an additional precaution |

We sent our home test kit off a few days ago and are waiting for the results. They usually take a couple of weeks or more before we hear
Usually get a home test kit every 3 months regardless of the fact we use condom or how active we have been. Just a habit we got into |

We're not stupid darling, we are fully tested across the spectrum and have the appropriate hepatitis jabs too. We play safe with condoms and have never had a positive result, so don't presume you know anything about our life style. |
