I have heard it is shite...and the extracts i have read bear that out...
The best current writer of Erotic fiction (other than me of course lol)is Maxim Jacobowski, a good place to start might be his novella the state of Montana as it has the background of the internet and chatrooms, in fact many of his stories do.
If you are looking for free stuff try literotica and asstr.

Well I read 50 shades of grey online where it began and it changed my life..it was a catalyst as it awakened my sex life and joy for life after being in a virtually sexless marriage.
Its not pretending to be anything other than fun and erotic.
If you like the idea of being swept of your feet by a successful dominant man then you will enjoy..a little like Pretty Woman film but with a bit of bondage and spanking

I'm in the middle of it at the mo and its ok if your looking for a bit of erotica but if your into BDSM don't bother with it as you will spend too much time picking it apart, we only dabble occasionally so I'm not puritanical about it so I've managed so far not to say "really" too often |

Literotica is great if you want short stories, and all catagorised for what ever takes your fancy. Keep an eye on the ratings as they are quite accurate and will help you filter the crap. |

Erotic fiction is something I have no interest in and I never read the stories section on fab or on the internet anywhere.
I don't mind beach type novels which combine riches and the odd bit of sex if I'm feeling in a trashy unbelievable novel type of mood but I wouldn't read a novel where the prime focus is sex. |

I might give this fifty shades of grey a go though, if its written in more of a lighthearted kind of way rather than a true account.
I think someone mentioned there are a trilogy of these books so is fifty shades of grey the first in the series |

It is - it's really a rather poor shopping and fucking novel with a bit of bad BDSM thrown in for good measure. The constant brand dropping of this car or that glider or that helicopter is just tosh really.
If it's shopping and fucking with a bit of kink thrown in Pat Booth's early novels were up in the Jackie Collins league- and to be honest Fifty Shades of Gray was nowhere near that good.
As Jem says, Maxim Jakubowski is superb, and some of Mark Timlin's erotica is pretty good. Some of Timlin;s stuff also appears in anthologies MJ has edited - they;re all on Amazon and increasingly available for the KIndle.
Literotica is ok in bits - the ratings system is a little bit arbitrary and it does have a clique of Americans who will vote down anything that doesn't fit their preconceptions. ASSTR is a good old fashioned throwback to Usenet, and no bad thing for that. |

It is that kind of novel I'm after, in fact I've already bought it from Amazon. Sometimes I want something thought provoking but at other times when I've a lot on in work, I don't want to use my brain.
It I want to learn and understand BDSM, and I am fascinated by it, even though I couldn't be involved, then I would rather spend a few hours listening to real accounts by real people, so that I can ask questions. So rather than reading of anonymous tales, I'd rather have it told to me in reality. I could listen for hours no doubt. |
