Coming up to being with D for 23 years. He is the only one who has my Love . And deservedly so, he has been my rock over the years and I am so thankful he is in my life.
I do however have some great friends on here who I love too.
I hope they know who they are!

I didn't want to let go of my demons even though I didn't want them in my life- a weird old carry on I know, but they were almost like some kind of twisted yet trusted comfort blanket. They reminded me loving someone is painful, dangerous and can leave you broken. It can turn your life upside down and inside out, chew you up and spit you out in the process. Only a fool would put themselves in a position for that to be a possibility again right? Some life lessons cut DEEP and leave scars.
I could love, of course I could, I'm bastard full of the stuff... but I didn't want to.
B walked into my life and the confusion was real! Loving him felt so so right and normal. It wasn't a choice.
I suppose I could have chosen to cut things with him, and I did think about it a few times, however I simply couldn't accept that something so natural could be anything but right.
The fear was real. How would I handle opening up, truly giving my vulnerable side to another person and trusting them to care for it? I mean, I open up loads, but allowing someone to hold the vice that could crush me.... I shit bricks.
I soul searched a fair bit, yet ultimately this man that had walked into my life already had my heart and it would have been doing us both a injustice if I ran.
Hell, we both had the fear. This was so far from the plan it's untrue!
So, my darling B. You have my heart, you have changed my life in a way I never really thought possible. I know I can shut down when I'm afraid, I also know that with you by my side I can face my fears. At times I'm like a box of broken biscuits, all crumbly and in pieces. I'm still learning booboo.... and I plan on continuing to learn, about me, you and us.
