Love it or hate it? Stories. Not a penny spent on advertising ever! Is it popular outside of Scotland? Is it a tonic or a killer?

Have you drank a bottle?

Massive in Scotland, however, having worked in N.I. for a while I seen it in pubs..... on optics!

I was also informed it's known as Lurgan Champagne.

Can't stand the stuff

Penicuik

Had a house party for my 18th. 14 mates and 50 bottles of buckfast.

Remember one mate rolling around in dug shite before we lifted him to his parents house leaving him on the doorstep, rattling letterbox and running away like whippets.

Pubs had it in optics in my town.

Still see the odd bottle left on a park bench or bus.

I've not had a drink of Buckfast for many years, but tastes nice mixed with milk as a shot.

I don’t think it’s a Scotland wide thing... isn’t it the preference in the Bucky Triangle...? east end of Glasgow / Coatbridge kind of way?

I used to drink this as a rebellious delinquent teenager, an we all used to go by the mantra "people who drink buckfast, fuckfast". But it just got us completely fucked fast..

Apparently used to be dished out in geriatric homes to keep the old dears awake in afternoon?

It's the rush off caffeine in it that makes it so popular as a going out pre drink. Lots more than red B...

Very popular in N.Ireland. Was tempted to buy one lately as loved it when I was in my teens.

My mate ranted and raved about it for ages, had a sip and won’t be drinking it again. Vile stuff.
