Getting sick of not finding anything new to watch on the million and one channels available.
Decided it's time to start reading again.
I go through phase's about every five years where I will just binge read for about six months so I am well overdue
Don't like any of the following genres.
Romance
Crime
Autobiography
Historical
Teen shit like hairy plopper
Or war stuff.
Very much like
Sci-Fi fantasy horror.
Example being
The necroscope series of books.
Brian Lumley
The Joe ledger series patient zero...
Hp Lovecraft books
Clive Barker.
Basically ,dark , sinister, fantasy, gruesome.
I'd rather a series of books if possible.

Get into the wheel of time. That'll keep you busy for a year and they are making a series on it so you can be ahead of it.
(By far one of my favorite series ever. Its fantasy. Done right.) |

I'm having a bit of a James Herbert thing ATM too. I read 48 for the first time the other week too, not his normal thing but I was gripped. I fancy rereading the Ash trilogy again. Haunted, Ghosts Of Sleath and Ash. |

Third recommendation for Wheel of Time.
I've just started re-reading the Belgariad by David Eddings. The Sword of Truth series is great too and that will be a long read (21 books) |

"The Culture series by Iain M. Banks
This is brilliant reading, but it sounds to me like it wouldn't be dark or gruesome enough for the OP. "
A vote from me too
On a non scifi note his Wasp Factory is pretty dark and weird |
