?

A rock of eloquent common sense in the turbulent waters of the forum, this erudite man just gets how this whole thing works, and is always willing to share his wisdom.

More privately, he's offered a friendly ear and sage advice on many occasions, and I'm glad to be able to call him a friend.

But he's not just the wise man of the forums, he makes me smile with his fantastic sense of humour, has an epic music collection, and causes frequent gig envy

Ladies and gentlemen of the forum, please show your appreciation for this wonderful man

Hear hear! Very well said.

He's one of the few guys on the forums that I've had any meaningful conversation with and he's a thoroughly good guy.

He deserves any recognition that he gets.

On a mooch

A salt of the earth gent and totally on my wavelength !

He truly gets how it all works and I don’t just mean FAB, has immense knowledge (some of it so random), his words are considered but always honest, true and to the point on the forums & in person.

It’s so easy to spend time with Gemini whether we are getting lost, talking to locals or just talking nonsense, watching our beloved Spurs - although we’ve never won when we do it’s always a relaxed and fun experience, filled with chat, laughter and more. There is so much more I could say but I’ll leave it there.

It’s my honour and pleasure to call you my friend, a friend for life. Love you G now where’s Penfold when we need him

Sensible, wise, empathetic, and strong. Great sense of humour, dear friend, doesn't care what others think or get involved in so much of the nonsense going around. Good for the soul, restorer of faith in humanity. Wrong on cardio and weights

Ah the oracle great choice!

The voice of reason who goes out of his way to explain thoughts and facts, often to those who don’t offer the same courtesy.

A true friend who can talk about literally anything and I think we possibly have covered all bases now.

But most of all a lovely soul who deserves much more than is often handed out.

Well deserved GM

GM is my closest male friend on the forum. My brother from a different mother. His wisdom is always welcome and his willingness to listen, empathise and understand makes him a pleasure to talk to. We share an interest in football albeit for rival teams that makes for humorous banter when we’re shooting the breeze and our different tastes in music have led to a number of interesting conversations too. We will correct the omission of not yet meeting up yet when the stars align. Bro. I really appreciate you x

Thanks to his passionate description I went and looked up the Madness gig he described and watched some clips and via that I found some Ian Dury related stuff that made me tearfully homesick but was really special. He spreads joy in all ways plus he's a Norf London boy so he gets special props for being a homie

.

After seeing his recent thread it inspired me to bump this one. Sure, GM and I over the years haven't seen eye to eye on a few topics but I've seen enough of his posts to know he's a well intentioned, good man who always speaks his truth with respect, empathy and clarity. He's one of the good ones on the fora and I enjoy reading the myriad of threads he contributes to - from the patience and knowledge he displays when discussing BDSM to his love of live music and inclusivity.

So from a probably unexpected poster on this thread, I have a lot of respect for you GM.
