Ah, Kirk was great. The Vikings with Tony Curtis was is of my favourite films.

Remember seeing it on TV on a Saturday afternoon with my bro when we were kids and being proper blown away.

RIP Kirk.

Just read this - wow!!! Not seen anywhere else, very sad.

I too like Vikings (but prefer the Amazon Prime series). For me his best films are Heroes of Telemark and Paths of Glory.

Ah this makes me sad. One of the last few remaining old school Hollywood stars gone - although Olivia de Havilland is still with us i think.

He was a great actor. Could do sinister or hero with ease.

He was a truly great actor and producer. He made Paths Of Glory and Spartacus happen, gave Stanley Kubrick the chance to show what he could do.

And he was partly responsible for giving us Michael Douglas - who, though not as great as his dad, is a decent enough actor.

RIP Kirk. Gone but not forgotten.
