It’s loads of things though isn’t it. Can be visual or sound I thought?
Like I watch videos of various items being crushed or slicing through things. I watch videos of doctors removing big lumps of earwax from peoples ears. I watch Dr Pimple popper.
I watch videos of gay breeding porn, people having their prostate milked and all kinds of random stuff. |

Ok I didn’t know what the hell it was so Ive just watched a couple Gibi videos - it sent shivers down my spine (in a good way) and I still feel slightly tingly from it. I must be receptive to it. |

Asmr doesn't effect everyone a lot won't experience any sensation from asmr.
They don't effect me but what does effect me negatively is sounds like sirens some sirens worse than others and nails on chalk board more than it effects others, it induces nausea, muscle contraction and like a throb in my head also something similar to vertigo. I think if I tried to withstand the effect I'd probably faint which is what it feels like is building up over seconds. It's similar but its a negative effect opposite to the experiences people get from asmr videos

I love Dr Pimple Popper, I find it oddly cathartic, especially seeing the really bad ones become better. I also enjoy videos of people slicing kinetic sand, it's so satisfying!
I'm not into the whispering or eating ASMR, they just aggravate me, but I can see how others might find it soothing. |

We're unique and we all appreciate and have preferences for different things and people. Not everyone likes chocolate, either at all, or to the same extent that others do, where it can be at an unhealthy level. Sometimes we also benefit from sensory familiarity or development - we know that some people are incredibly more astute with fragrances and tastes than others, parfumiers, wine tasters etc. These all use our brains, likely as would ASMR, if you experienced it.
We know our preferences change as can our experiences of things in our life. ASMR may be something the Op 'gets' in the future? |

"I will say there are a few of those asmr videos that really chill me out and help me sleep especially things like hearing rain"
I'd love to eat croissants next to your lovely ears |
