Some friends of mine are looking into joining here. They want to know what happens if the username they choose is already in use. Am I right in thinking the system will reject their request? |

It will inform them that the username they have chosen has already been taken, and to choose another.
No information submitted up until that point will be stored in the site's databases (as it doesn't have a username under which to store it). |

Sorry, but Wishy is wrong. What actually happens is this:
If your 'friend' chooses a username which already exists, a trace is automaticaly done on the IP address of the potential new member, from there, his/her ISP is contacted and their name/address and telephone number are obtained along with the details of their immediate and extended family, friends, work colleagues and associates, then the information is sold to the Sun on Sunday and a half page expose will appear regarding your 'friend' atempting to join a swingers site using somebody elses username  |

why not just add 1 or 2012 as others do  |
