A question to those that grew up when grunge broke out big or just appreciate the genre. What are your top 3 grunge albums from the 90's? Mine:

Siamese Twins - Smashing Pumpkins

Core - Stone Temple Pilots

Dirt - Alice in Chains

Nirvana is my favourite group overall but not one album in my top three

That's the strange thing! They are my favourite grunge band but not one of their albums was a flawless masterpiece with no throw away tracks like the albums I mentioned

Great choices but not sure Pantera could be classed as grunge

Pearl Jam's Ten is a masterpiece but even in high school there was debate if they were grunge or just hard rock without the 80's cheese and posing

That's why Nevermind's not there, too pop/commercial. For me though, those albums are flawless. Horses for courses I guess.

I wasn't aquatinted with Bleach until the end of my grunge days, so didn't have the same impact for me. Still you're right, it is a very good album and I was struggling between bleach and unplugged. Unplugged won purely for the covers.
