Thank you so much everyone - he was extremely inbred (his mum and dad were brother and sister) but we didn’t know this when we got him.
For years he was itchy, my mum and dad spent so much money trying to figure out what was wrong with him. He had so many treatments, steroid injections etc and eventually the vets said he was just allergic to himself.
He was on so many different tablets and prescribed shampoo and cream, but as he got older they stopped working as well, and eventually stopped working all together. He was bald, itchy, half blind and mostly deaf. But was still eating, going for walks, and happy.
Tonight a different vet saw him to put him down - apparently he was just covered in cancer. so many different vets couldn’t figure this out, he seemed so happy but...he must have been in agony |

But I’m glad he had a lovely life and was as happy as he could be x |

Thank you everyone who sent me photos! They were all so bloody cute
Also a wee update on the cancer thing (my mum had a chat with my sister when my youngest sister went to bed).
The cancer went undetected for years, the vet couldn’t figure out why. But she said that keeping him off of medication for cancer probably helped him in the long run, and he probably lived longer, happier and healthier because of this. Odd to think, isn’t it? |
