I feel you OP
But my biggest gripe at the minute is people who drive big 4x4s and drive over bumps that slow that I think, they believe the vehicle is made of glass!!! They all do it! Why! It’s built to go on bumpier surfaces!

Ahh now that annoys me too. It then annoys them as I park my car close to theirs as a result |

Retards who can't park centrally and straight between the lines, fucking up the spaces next to them. People who use 2 spaces, I really feel like scratching your car for that!
People who drive in to a space rather than reversing in, driving out is much safer and easier than reversing out. |

When you get back to your car and the car next to is actually in your space.
Normally a Fiat 500 or a Micra, where they have cut in really close to as they pull in, leaving the back wheel of their car in your space...
I have a theory that the drivers of smaller cars generally lack confidence that why they drive a small car like it's a bus... |

A lot of car parks were built in the days when a Ford Cortina was regarded as a large car and were marked out accordingly, fast forward to todays monster 4x4s and pick ups, the bays remain the same size - to increase the bay sizes would reduce the number of bays - yes you may get your vehicle into a bay but you try opening the doors, no chance. I quite enjoy people watching in car parks trying to clamber in or out of the rear tailgate, not an option though with pick ups and non hatchback cars. |

I have the worst car park know to man near me....the Trafford centre
How these people got a license to drive is mind boggling
I came back one day and there was a car next to me parked half out of the space and angled in front on my car |

Oh gosh this! I dropped my car off at the garage the other day and their car park is nearly always full with no spaces left so you just have to block others in. I'd parked up against the fence between the rows of bays and was walking in when a guy came out the garage and told me there was a free space round the corner. I was a bit confused how I'd managed to miss it but thanked him only to find the space was between two very badly parked cars that's back ends were over the lines. As he was still watching though I spent the next 5 minutes cramming my car into this space that also didn't have enough space in front of it to easily go straight into it. Fortunately there was more space at the back so I could easily open my door but I had to hope the mechanic who took it in the garage was pretty slim in order to get between my car and the next! I picked it up with no damage so they must have managed it! |

I've got some sympathy with this, since a lot of people are very careless with how they open doors, and respect for other people's property sometimes seems to be a thing of the past. However, taking up two spaces is not on if the car park is full, and I suspect this just encourages malicious damage in retribution, which is likely to be worse than any accidental dink. |

I don’t always do it. Mostly do it when I can’t find a mother and baby space free. |

"Parent parking fair enough disabled parking should be close to the shop but why if you have a kid "
This arguement!
Personally, I wouldnt care if it was the far side of the carpark, but maybe the vulnerable of society (the very young and the infirm) should have it a bit easier, no? |

Because toddlers are a fucking nightmare to walk through a busy car park, they have no danger awareness and are prone to bolting. It's a safety thing. |

Councils who refuse to allow us a blue badge for our teenage granddaughter who cannot walk and has to be lifted into her wheelchair.
Supermarkets who demand a blue badge to park in the disabled bays even after the manager has seen our granddaughter cannot walk and requires a wheelchair |

In the car parks around here you get a ticket if you park outside of the markings, just as if you had parked and not bought a ticket. But as someone has already pointed out , even a modern family saloon parked in the box won’t give you enough room to open the door without touching the car parked next to it. |

People who park right next to me when there are LOADS of spaces.
This specifically relates to the absolute arse white van man in sainsburys car park last week, it was 0730am, pretty empty car park. I come back to find him parked that close to me I struggled to open my door. |

New pet hate.
Frisky goes to college 2 nights a week.
Homeless/beggers suddenly appear next to her car asking for money.
As a lone female in a dark car park, she feels she has to give them money so they don't damage her car etc.
I may go with her next time and point out the canal next to the car park is very cold at this time of year... |

I have a Mercedes 4x4 about same size as a BMW X5
None of the parking spaces I find are really big enough.
The size of a parking space was set out in the 60’s as a standard.
Have you seen how small cars were then? |

Women...I say women as it's nearly always them who are the perpetrators of the following crime my wife included.
An empty car park with two other cars in it and the decide to half a fucking hour reversing into the tight space in-between the two said cars when there's about 200 empty spaces
WHY THE FUCK DO YOU DO IT ?AHHHHHHHHH! |

They then decide to spend half a fucking hour parking between the only other two cars. |

People who think they own the public road outside their house and have an automatic right to park there, and that others don't. (Excluding of course where a proper marked residents parking scheme is in operation). |

Could not agree with this more. Just because someone has annoyed you, doesn’t mean you should cause criminal damage and the cost of hundreds of pounds.
The person driving that car might not be able to afford to pay.
They might be in such a rush and parking straight was the last thing on their mind and you’ve just made their day worse.
Nothing, nothing annoys me more than people purposefully damaging someone’s car, for whatever reason. |

This is very true - it's only recently with a comparison photo that I realised how much cars have grown in size since the 70s.
Presumably though, this was something you took into account and accepted when choosing the vehicle in the first place? |

This is so true! I have no idea why people do it. It's a bit like people who get on an empty train and proceed to sit in the same bay of seats as you. Why?! |

So many things.
1) Parking in drop off points.
2) Parking across more than one bay.
3) Parking on pavements.
4) Leaving enough space for a motorbike between your car and the kerb.
5) Parking across someone else's driveway blocking them in because you "will only be five minutes".
Basically the parking where it is convenient for you and fuck everyone else attitude. |

You can have the same problem driving a Ford Focus, let alone a 4x4. Spaces should be far larger. |

Size comparison, the original 1970s Range Rover was only 4 inches longer than the Evoque, which is now seen as a baby 4x4. |

Parking far away to reduce the risk of some pleb parking beside you and dinging your door due to their lack of respect for another persons property.
Then you find that someone has parked right next to you. |

People who lack respect, when both parking and driving. Including inefficient use of the allocated or available space. Park parallel to the lines/kerb and equidistant to the lines, in general. When parking at the end of a road's available parking space, eg next to the start of double yellow lines, park from the very start/end of the unrestricted area, so that maximum parking space is made available.
Private Car Parking:
Fines levied should generally be equivalent to costs and lost revenue/business. I dislike businesses that outsource their parking, such as shops, where they run it akin to an extortion racket and the business that outsourced it doesn't give a damn. |
