Sorry for delay. Been dealing with 3 "dickhead" male guests but they got nowhere with their complaints!
Hotel almost full. Eejit night tonight. Someone complained there's no lift (we're a 300 yr old listed status building with space to put one in!?
Another, an American!, asked why no Aircon? (Again, planning regs don't allow it).
Ye Gods. People book into a 300 yr old property, but then complain when they don't get a modern "plasticky" Marriott or Hilton.
Thank goodness, these are the minority guests. |

We'd a guest recently who was disappointed that we didn't have any Ghost on site! (EH?).
On the subject of wines, the most popular here, by the glass, are Merlot or Rioja. White wine is almost exclusively Sauvignon Blanc. |

Cumber is my everyday favourite, but I do like play around with my garnishes. Juniper berry with red pepper corns is lovely. I am not a fan flavoured gins though. |

Strangely enough, my brother says the same, so he drinks red wine. He also says he gets the same reaction with Becks Beer, but not with other beers. |

We also stock Warwick Gin, a newcomer to the marketplace, with limited production gins, each one certified. They do presentation boxes of 3 mini bottles, via Mail Order via their website. We stock 3 of their gins.
Look out too, for Stratford Gin who are new, only been around 18 months but have a superb marketing policy and making a name for themselves. |

Was a good night. I hope you don't mind if I share an on this day thing... my fave anecdote of today is that on George III's death very signed today in 1820 it said "died insane". We know this from the film The Madness of King George right?
Apparently the film couldn't be called George III as was it's working title, because there were concerns people would think they hadn't seen George I and George II yet. |

Yes, I recall that anecdote being mentioned in a chat show, when the film first came out!
It wasn't so much the UK audiences this was aimed at, but more towards the American film-goers! |

"Evening Ash, Lorna, nocturnal thread types. Always a treat you guys are up when I get in from work and want some sociable people around. Can always rely on you guys...
Good evening Moon......How did work go tonight?....were a very sociable bunch on the late thread and you're always very welcome here....
It wasn't so much the UK audiences this was aimed at, but more towards the American film-goers!"
I've often wondered if they just said it for a bit of a laugh. Don't let the truth get in the way of a good anecdote... |

Hi Chunky

Woke up, not sure why. Then I realised I need a pee! "
It's strange how the body plays those tricks.
