west here ford shire |
Just drove back from southwest France, amazing N Roads and Paige roll motorways which are really reasonable.
Got back to Portsmouth 10:00pm
Britain’s motorway and dual carriageway system is pathetic
M27 50 mph speed limit all the way to M3
Due to roadworks that have been going on 18months and are not due to finish until 2021..
Then you find as usual A34 junction on M4 is still closed at night meaning diverting through Newbury..
Isn’t our transport network rubbish?
Roads are atrocious, pot holes, repairs, don’t even talk about the shiny new water pipe welsh water are installing locally 18months still digging up all the roads..
Rant over, feel better now.. |

Its one of the best in the world ive driven all over the world and can definitely vouch for it. 50 limits are there to save workers lives unfortunately its no 5 min job. Itd cause mayhem to do the work in the daytime. The main roads in france are ok as are most in continental europe but they dont have the sheer amount of traffic we have and when it rains/floods are drainage on motorways works... french roads especially are a death trap |
