You can't choose who you live next to so
Do you get on with yours ?
or do you have the neighbours from hell?
I share a block with a pair of d*unks who won't shut the fuck up and a chav family who have turned the outside into a scrap yard and let their feral kid run riot all hours of the day,
Some people have no respect for their neighbours |

I have one elderly lady on one side to my home who has lived there since 1986, six years before I moved into my house.
She's one of the few in the street who hasn't moved away or sadly died.
Neighbour on the other side is like me; he works away from home and gets home far fewer times than me.
There's one family across from me on the other side of the street who haven't moved either from when I arrived in 1992. Their kids are now grown up! |

We’re in an apartment block and have no real trouble with ours. Our bedroom is next to his living room and occasionally get some quite dull thumps of some heavy bass. We try to get our own back with some home made noises of our own. |

Don't do the neighbour thing, and most of the properties on the compound are second homes so empty most of the time, only people we talk to are the security guys and gardener's. |

No real problems with my neighbours apart from parking problems, when I moved in 36 years ago about half of the houses in the Close owned a car, now every house has at least 2 cars, Although we all have a garage very few are in use due mainly to the size of todays cars, yes you can just about get the cars in, but you cannot open the car doors.
Couple of ladies in the Close who are hot and a lovely Polish couple couple who make porn videoes, all in all a good crowd of people. |

Ask them out for a day trip to as far as you can drive. Tell them the day is on you. When you get there. Accidentally on purpose lose them. Go back to your car and drive home. Good luck.?? |

You lost my sympathy at Chav. What are you like as a neighbour ?
If your 'd*unks' are making excessive noise at unsociable hours deal with it officially.
Does the child have autism ? Children do generally have to move about. It's a stage of their development. Does it stop at bed time ? If so all's well. If not , maybe let your neighbout know when your bed time is. If the 'scrap' isn't a health hazard to you or the child all is okay. Maybe they don't mind looking at it.
My neighbour who has lived next door to me says that they put me in for the neighbour of the year award every year since they moved in. He says im the perfect neighbour Cos they never see me. |

I do wonder what my neighbours make of the near continual squeaking of my bed-must tighten those nuts!
I am unfortunately sandwiched between two young couples who I don't know. My old neighbours were lovely, I fear I'm the anti-social one with my comings and goings... |

Our neighbors are nice enough, we rarely see them unless one of us accepts a package for the other.
Most of the residents on our street are elderly so it's lovely and quiet . |

No idea yet, only just moved in.
Just moved from a back to back mid terrace to a detached so it’s really nice not to worry about noise and hearing others rattling around and slamming cupboards
They seem nice in the brief conversations we’ve had so far though. |

My neighbours are nosey, but it a protective loving way. They check nobody is on my property when I am out, they keep an ear out when they hear a new voice to check I am safe and the visitor is welcome etc |

We increasingly don’t have neighbours, just second homes .
My mum had lived in her house 55 years. Used to have lovely neighbours, but the houses lie empty most of the year now. I’ve spoken to a number of old folk through work who are genuinely saddened by this, and feel more isolated.
Sorry - bit of a rant. I don’t begrudge it really, but worry about community cohesion. |

Community is overrated,
More people should be like me and not, be so nosey, intrude and actually be respectful to their neighbors.
Apart from the 3 around me who could fill nightmare neighbours for a whole series and yet have some kind of protection from being evicted.
I have no idea who my neighbours are have no interest in such matters.
But if they say hello etc , they get the good old fashioned alright and thats it. |

One side are ok with kids similar ages to mine. The other side are stuck up arseholes who complain about every fucking thing possible. Not to me though, they don't speak to me, they just go straight to the council, etc |

I live in a block of 6 flats.
Everyone is fine. The neighbours opposite my flat, there’s 2 flats on each floor, have a tendency to slam their door when leaving but it’s not done on purpose, it’s just what they do and I can live with it.
There are two youngish men below me, one owns the flat and his mate lodges with him and they’re really nice, especially the one who owns it.
My boiler decided to leak loads of water over Christmas 2018 straight down into their flat and he was great about it and didn’t get angry or pissed off with me.
