Such an awful day ,played this today and brought back some good memories and realise again what an awesome album this was

although, tbf, i have never really been a big fan of his, for my shame,and wasnt really that bothered when he died

A great era for music. I preferred the UK synth bands but Jackson's Billie Jean was fantastic, a great bassline.

Me and a friend were talking about the Jackson videos the other day, particularly the Smooth Criminal video.

Does anyone else remember it being scheduled into the TV listings for the first UK viewing, not as part of another programme, just the full video on its own. Whole families actually sat down to watch it together.

Off The Wall was probably one of the last great albums of the 70's. Thriller leaves me cold. It all seems a bit formulaic and derivative.It heralded Jackson's horrifying slide in to self parody.

Or not,depending on your opinion
