Manchester (she/her)

Join in on conversation. It's not a place for people to come running to your desires, usually. It's more like a pub, just chat.

Ok, I think I see what you mean?

When you do “reply and quote”

After [\quote], then you type your stuff in response to what the first person said. Their stuff is in grey, yours is in black.

Did you mean that?

I suspect he means that he's not getting things from the forum that he hopes to.

All forums have cultures and norms, and unfortunately everyone needs to figure them out, more or less. (This isn't the clique thing, it's, on any forum, the way you engage with people matters)

Being myself is the problem. I don't think what other people think. I'm very random

As a relative newbie myself I'd say just jump in. If I've something to add I just say it, sometimes there is a conversation sometimes it's ignored.

There are a lot of longstanding friendships on here so it can be difficult sometimes to feel as though you have a place. Try not to take it seriously, join in when you want to, don't worry about making an impact, don't use the forum for validation.

I like random

I've also got a brain like a car crash - bits flying everywhere - and love random leaps of logic

Embrace your inner randomness!

Maybe avoid stories about accidentally pissing in someone's mouth?

Just throwing that out there as a suggestion...
