Its basically lentil soup but theres lots of different ways it can be made, peas, carrots, onion,potato, lamb or mutton stock pearl barley, kale. Great with some Irish soda bread |

It’s one of those dishes that has a million recipes. Mine is rice, chicken, mussels, calamari, prawns, chorizo, onion, peppers and various spices.
There’s a good base recipe in the Beeb recipe site. Look for Momma’s Meat Jambalaya. |

I love stew with dumplings
You cant beat a good roast though - I want roast chicken with pork sage and onion stuffing, roast potatoes, cauliflower cheese, broccoli, carrots, sweetcorn, Yorkshire puddings and gravy.
I havent had breakfast- I want it now |

That’s the beauty of the dish: put in or take out whatever you want. I absolutely have to have chorizo in mine but I’ve also added chunks of normal sausage when removing the seafood for friends. It’s just as good.
