I'm on the fence. He knows enough about certain subjects to have a good debate about it, but he comes across argumentative and its a bit you have to answer his questions there and then before you can move on to your next point |

"I was telling my friend that I like the look of Pearce Brosnan. She thought I meant Piers Morgan and declared me not fit to make my own decisions. "
I think Piers Morgan would make a great James Bond |

I've never liked him since he was involved in printing those fake pictures of British soldiers abusing Iraqi prisoners which helped spark a brutal insurgency which got a lot of our lads killed and maimed.
Sometimes I find myself agreeing with him on some things though which annoys me! |

"I like him. He is not afraid to voice his opinion"
His stupid, uninformed, dangerous opinions. He needs to learn the literal damage he does, the reprehensible cockwomble. He LITERALLY harms this country with his crap. |

He's a divkhead of the first order.
If you don't like him, theres a great video on YouTube of him facing 6 balls from Aussie fast bowler Brett Lee, after he criticised Englsnd batsmen for being gutless.
If I've had a bad day, it never fails to give me a lift...

Absolutely. But my opinion is also allowed to be demonstrated to be be supported by facts or not.
Opinions are NOT all equal. For all the stupid shit talked about brexit, you wouldn't tell your oncologist that you know how to treat your cancer better than he does. Well, you might, but you'd die...
Pointing out that I have an opinion is a meaningless statement. |

Ok well I have stated on numerous occasions that I did detest him .
But like a previous poster has stated, occasionally, just occasionally I find myself agreeing with him , then I have to punch myself in the nose through self hatred |

It doesn't change the damage he does, but yes that is true. Stopped clock and all that. |

Even Hitler had some good ideas. |

He's a vile, ignorant, arogant, self important man who should really try to put as much effort into fixing his own monumental cock ups as he does into getting his knickers in a twist over stuff that has little baring on most people's lives. |

He can be a bit of an arse, but if he makes a point he will be able to back up it up and explain his reasoning. If he thinks somebody is wrong he is not afraid to challenge them and defend his position. He doesn't just come out with contraversial opinions for the sake of it. I do respect him for that even though I don't like him or agree everything he says. |

"Like him or hate him, agree with him or not, a supposedly free society should allow for all opinions without calls for cancelling or censoring anyone."
No, I don't agree at all. Stupid, uninformed opinions that are clearly, demonstrably invalid should be given airtime by supposedly responsible media enterprises. Vaccines do not cause autism, the world is round, we landed on the moon, homeopathy is bullshit etc... Contrary opinions should not be given airtime. it's not "balance" it's misinformation and damaging. |

"Armando Ianucci once referred to him as a stoat faced tosser. I feel I have nothing to add to this.
Stoat faced tosser is enough "
I felt it clearly stated what needed to be said |

No one calling him out gives any good reason...... speaks volumes.
I may not agree with all he says but I always watch him, listen to him and in many ways admire him.
He's a gent. Educated, fair , kind , good family man and is very knowledgable in terms of politics and journalism.
People just find him an easy target because he says things that some folk find unpopular and because he's often right those 'folk' vilify him.

If Piers Morgan used its quick wit and intelligence to do anything other behave like an utter prat and make controversial and contentious comments for the sake of attention and self promotion... then there is a small chance he could actually be likeable lol! Hmmm or maybe not lol... send him skyward |

You missed the early bit about Iraq pictures and his part in phone hacking. The guy is an arrogant privileged twat who should have been fired for the bollox he does & says. Just being shouty, opinionated & provocative should not command a well paid job |

He believed them to be real. They were brought to him by British soldiers. He didn't fake the pics.
Arthur Conan Doyle thought fairy photos were real.
Someone published the Hitler Diaries.
These people were duped. They were not malicious and Piers was working in the interests of journalism and the British Public.

He's not a gent he is a misogynist :commenting that the Women's March in Washington was trying to emasculated his gender.
He's not fair as he continually, with bombast and terrible ego, talks over guests and refuses to engage with them, esppecily if he perceives they disagree with him.
His jour issm experience involves becoming prominent by ha gong out with stars and writing gossip aboutt their important nights on the town, premieres and who was shagging who. Before becoming the editor of the NOTW and relentlessly pursuing 'phic interest' stories aboutt politician's and celebrities' private lives. Ie who they were fucking (kiss and tell), and then to top his list of journalistic 'achievements' he was sacked as editor of the Mirror for publishing an untrue story about soldiers pissing on Iraqi prisoners.
He's a vile populist who promotes the death of informmed journalism, empathy, equality, respect and is blatantly in it for himself who punches for lowest common denominator.
He's like Clarkson meets Kyle. |

So he jumps on something without doing due diligence, causes a heap of mess and its a simple mistake. I wish I lived in his world, he fucked up in most lines of work he would be sacked again. So again it doesn’t help journalism of the British people... |

Plus notw was closed down be ause of public outcry over phone hacking /public distaste at the agenda for the more sensationalist stories he instigated while editor.
So left a legacy which closed down one tabloid, sacked from another.
Eminent journalist? John Pilger/Carl Bernstein he ain't. |

Exactly. No due diligence. He's an idiot. Or naive, thinking he could get away with it if he knew they were fake. |

Aren't journalists supposed to research stories sent to them instead of just publishing whatever they are told? |
