Sugar Puffs

For some reason I've got a big craving for Sugar Puffs today even though it must be 20 years or more since I last had some.
What food that you haven't had for 20 years would you kill for now? Maybe it's something that is no longer available |

Do you think it could really be something more than wanting the actual sugar puffs..and more wanting to be shagged by the honey monster..? |

Not had sugar puffs in a while myself.
I wouldn't mind having the odd bowl now and then, but any time I've bought a packet, I end up throwing them away after having probably about one bowls worth, because they end up as one massive lump.
Oh, and apparently, they're not called Sugar Puffs anymore.
They're Honey Monster Puffs |

Had some a few years ago they renamed them honey monster puffs or something similar as the sugar part was deemed to be bad for obesity

Anyone used to have that chocolate crunch - brownie at school that used to be the right amount of chewy and gooey with sugar on it?
Also, that trey bake cake with hundreds and thousands from school to?!
We didn't have tapioca or semolina, school dinners were always lovely when I went to school in the late 80s and 90s |

"Coconut ice. I was craving it a couple of years ago and couldn't find it anywhere, so ended up making the damn stuff."
If you fancy a sugar rush Coconut Ice fits the bill nicely, I made some for my Grandkids last year, when their mum saw what it was she threw it in the bin and wiped the floor with me ![](/icons/s/sad.gif) |

Only seems to be available now at seaside resorts. I know they sell it here still. |

"I crave sugar puffs every day though my type 2 diabetes precludes my predilection "
Same here.
My list of foods I crave for but haven't had in years.
Jelly beans
Wine gums
Black forest gateau.
Apple pie and custard.
Treacle sponge and custard.
Ice cream
Xmas pudding
Pretty much all desert.
Carrot cake
Jam on toast
Not that any of these things was a regular thing in my diet but on the odd occasion .
I think I miss wine gums the most. |

We used to make it with condensed milk instead and only one tablespoon of sugar and then strawberry flavouring, then freeze. Cuts down on the sugar intake but still yum |

Being a child of the 1940s and 50s I have vivid memories of condensed milk, dreadful sickly stuff usually as a topping for tinned Peaches or Pears. ![](/icons/s/sad.gif) |

Condensed Milk had added sugar, Evaporated milk had no added sugar, both made by Carnation amongst others. |

Of course. Apoogies to our traveller chums for any offence caused.
Is it just me that sees the irony in the way large groups of "travellers" seem to have a compulsion to commandeer land and build houses? |

Yes! Love chocolate concrete. Local deli used to sell it but they closed
Nowhere else makes it the same, it's all too soft. |
