My mother's cat sits in the armchair staring superciliously when the hoover is passed before her. She doesn't move a muscle.

Mind you, she's as mad as a spoon.

My ex had a cat that wouldn't come near her hairdryer, even when it was not switched on.

Fareham

My mum used to Hoover her cat- he seemed to like it until one day she took the brush attachment off to suck something off the floor then went back to Hoovering him forgetting to put the attachment back on ... his cheek was sucked up the tube, making him yowl and run off. He wasn't as keen on being Hoovered after that

Perhaps it feels like a massage?

My dog wouldn't let me anywhere near her with mine, she's terrified of the vacuum.

hehe kinda funny, 2 of my dogs (german shepherds) one who just likes to bark at the others like crazy at times goes all silent when the hoover is stuck right in front of her nose lol...shuts her up instantly, got all of the cockers used to the hair dryer cause they all get a hair dry one in from from the rain constantly, my old girl loves it so much she almost falls asleep hehe...they are used to as get groomed often and bathed

A world of my own

I used to have a dog that loved being hoovered. And as Stu said it was great when he was moulting as he had long fur. Eventually you couldnt do any housework before hoovering him first or he would just bark and jump up at you lol.
