So Peterborough was recently named worse town to live in for the second year running. What would get your vote, for me it would be Portsmouth, surprised just how rough that place is

The east coast, Lincolnshire, Hartlepool, clacton on sea, bradford.

I have a rule of thumb when it comes to going places.. i dont go further east than nottingham and dont go further north than york.

Id happily chop off the east coast and push it into the sea

There's plenty of really nice areas in Lincolnshire. Louth for example. Sudbrooke as well, just a big line of mansions.

There are some misserable and run down places in the valleys.

I've stayed all over the UK because of work and I can think of quite a few places.

The Isle of Sheppey off the coast of Kent was one and some grim places up north.

A lot of people say Luton, but they not well travelled probably not past their front gate, we have lived here all our lives, sure some parts not great, been to some really dire places, but I'm old enough and wise enough to know you would need to experience anywhere properly without putting a label on it

I worked in Hull for six years, the sights I used to see down Holderness road and on the Bransholme estate...

It has some ok areas around the marina but a lot of the city was cheaply rebuilt after its Luftwaffe makeover in 1940 and desperately needs regeneration.

Nothing like taking an afternoon stroll around Paradise!

I went to Warwick Uni, and was so excited until I first got the 12 into town... OMG I was heartbroken! That was before the lower precinct was developed and various other things. Wasn't quite so awful last time I went. Need to check out those new waterslides with the kids soon.

I was born in Hull and lived for a few years lived just off Hessle Road. Left when I was 16, but have never lived further than 25 miles from Hull. I worked in a community centre on Bransholme for 4 years and last year went to watch a mate's band playing at Saltshouse Tavern. What a shithole!

There are some great places off the beaten track in Hull, and just on the outskirts there are some really nice places - Kirk Ella and Swanland areas, and I can be often found watching a gig somewhere in the old town. But it's nice to get in my car and head back 25 miles to the little hamlet I now live in.
