I had a craving for an asparagus sandwich once (nothing else, just bread, butter and grilled asparagus) it was actually surprising good, but I'm not sure I'd do it again.

I’ve ate soap as an adult, well lime hand wash and I was pregnant at the time and craving the smell so I ate it to see if it tasted as good as it smelled.....it didn’t

Some of my favourite food and flavours have been mentioned on this thread as others' nightmares - coriander, anchovies, liver, pork scratchings - yum (though I do draw the line at horsemeat!).

I do have a big problem with certain textures though, however lovely they smell, and literally gag on strawberries, oranges, peaches, apricots... well, most fruit actually. They just feel repulsively slimy and/or fibrous to me.

Oh Lordy, you’ve just reminded me of being served Horse tongue at a Monastery in France. That did make me barff- it was still hairy as well.
