Yes; but all lawyers are specialists - so we can only be considered 'experts' in our specific 'area' or 'areas' of law - I'm a criminal lawyer but have some - at times limited - knowledge of human rights, public, property and tort law ... Oh and a bit of contract actually... |

The catch all term for solicitors, barristers and academic lawyers - but all are 'lawyers' which essentially means - reader of law |

Lawyer is a greek term if you were to use an Anglo Saxon equivilent we would say Advocate which meand friend or advisor. QC, Lawyer, solicitor or advocate; it pays well! |

I was once told by someone in the know that most barristers could put all is knowledge on a postage stamp and still have room for the lords prayer. " - be careful, you might need one one day although, in fairness, I find them rather big headed |
