Has anyone noticed that there seems to be an icreased number of fake profiles and time wasters, who I incidentally put in the same class as fake profiles... Thoughts... Xx

I've not experienced a time waster yet, plenty of fake profiles though, they're generally easy enough to spot.

It's the people who chat and chat, build up to the meeting phase the just disappear from the site, quite obviously fake and time wasting...

They exist. They always have. The only thing you can do is save yourself the hassle by not giving them what they want.
