I just had to report an incident online because it gets to the right department quicker than the operator.

But then it can take over 24 hours before investigation. I'm trying to report an incident so that a vulnerable person doesn't get robbed.

From what I understand of the UK police, they'll do nothing until the person is robbed, then do very little afterwards. The local CAB may be able to give you some advice?

I'm not seeking advice. I was simply hoping the village could have a police presence for a few hours. We do have an allocated pc.

You're welcome, but it may be that the CAB can give advice as to how to get the local PC to be a visible presence - some sort of official request?

East Sussex

We once had concerns about something slightly different and went into the nearest police station (once we'd found out when it was open. Alternatively is there a community liaison officer?

If you are concerned about a vulnerable adult, a call to your Adult Social Services might get a better response.

I'm afraid not, not when it could be anyone vulnerable.

That's probably the title of our allocated pc.

Well the elections are now over so Tories can go back to making bigger spending cuts in public sector
