So for my next batch cook (buying the food tomorrow) looking at either a chilli or maybe Enchilada Lasagne (think chilli but in layers made with ww wraps)

So what special thing do you put in to make it different?

Bit of stout?

Baked Beans?

Lump of Dark Chocolate?

Smoked bacon lardons when I'm frying the onion and garlic at the start, adds an amazing twist

Bacon lardons. Otherwise I mess with the spice mix in the chopped tomatoes.

Spices? I only need salt and chilli powder for spices, tried adding various Indian spices (cumin and corriander) and it just messed the original flavours

I use cumin, oregano, and chilli powder in varying quantities. I prefer it with lots of cumin

"Chocolate and Worcestershire sauce."

I also like loads of kidney beans in it.

Mexican oregano (the culinary equivalent of WD40 AND duct tape), cumin, smoked paprika (not too much), chilli powder, lots of garlic, tiny tiny pinch of cinnamon. Chocolate if you feel you need to. No carrots, no red wine, no veg except onions, beans and a box of lentils 50/50 with the meat.

I always add cumin, thyme and cinnamon as well as the garlic and chillies. When my kids where small I would sneak veg into them by grating carrot into the sauce. It adds a sweetness to the flavour
