Age is a number to me. I have age restrictions on my profile for a reason! I feel uncomfortable at the thought of playing with people under a certain age and that's the way it is. |

Would love to agree that it is. However if a 47 year old was dating / sleeping with an 18 year old I would think it very weird and a little gross if I'm honest.

When I turned 45 I was shocked to see how many peoples ages ranges I was no longer in and I’m seriously considering giving up in August when I turn 50 cos there will be even less ladies interested. Yes it’s a number but it affects ones chances on here to a considerable degree. |

Age is more than a number, it’s a state of mind. I may be in my 50’s but I’m not ready for Velcro fastening shoes, trousers with elasticated waists and cardigans just yet.
A friend of mine used to be a party animal back in our youth. Now he rarely leaves the house other than for work or shopping. I meet him for a coffee at the weekend and he’s happy with his life, which is the most important thing. Personally I think life is still out there to be lived and I will continue to enjoy myself whereas my friend thinks I’m mad.
It’s subjective and although the hair is greying and I now tend to nod off in front of the TV life as a 50-something is great. |

I’m identifying with this. However, and I don’t think this is just imagination, with age I seem to be attracting more attention - second glances, new girl at work very chatty etc - in “real life”... Maybe it’s the same for others? |

met a beautiful 49 year old female last year and we celebrated her 50th
she is simply one amazing female possibly the best year I have ever spent was with this female

Huge generalisation alert.
Age and maturity are very different things. However in general a person of 45 is going to be more emotionally mature than a person of 25. They will also have a different attitude and approach to sex, which is basically what it boils down to when discussing age on fab.
I don't want a guy whose goal and is to experience an older woman because "she knows what she wants and how to get it" or a man who reckons he's doing me a favour because he can "go all night". |

Depends on whether they act their age. Some older people can be very young at heart and in body and mimd, some older people are just..well just old.
You also get some younger people who are old before their time which we don't like. |

It all depends tbh , everyone's DNA or make up is different, " and some say life can beat you down ,break your heart ...steal your crown ..( Tom Petty lyrics there )..but it ALL depends on how one approaches ageing ,one can give themselves the best chance by not Smoking , drinking , eat healthy etc etc but could fall ill ,so in my opinion the bottom line regards ageing is ALL about ones health ,it is our most precious possession ,no matter what age one is ,good health in mind and body is everything .so in my opinion ,it all depends on ones individual circumstances as to whether age is just a number . |

It's initially a number but then people can and do interpret it in their chosen way. Like all data concerning us, others will be open to using that data according to their preferences. And age is a fairly widely used indicator of potential compatibility here. |

It can be a really bad guide too, for a guy if your t count is naturally high and you’ve looked after your mind and body you don’t get any of those things. I don’t know about women but I’d guess it’s similar, hormone levels, lifestyle, maturity/ attitude are much more important than a number - which in my experience many on here lie about anyway |

We put age filters only to keep down on messages, you usually find those that are set at 18 to 99 are more interested in the fabs than meeting, a 20 year old wouldn’t meet an 99 year old surely that would be one wrinkle too many for there to be attraction |
