It's very low risk but it is a risk like anything unprotected. Standard STDs are relatively difficult to pass, however HPV/Herpes could be passed if one of the participants carries the virus.
From a personal perspective I've given and received literally 100s and 100s of blow jobs but never had an STD and I get tested every 3 months. But, as I said before, anything unprotected does carry a risk, just with blow jobs it's a low risk x |

yes its for the best. You should be aware that condoms aren't 100% effective either, especially against genital warts.
The risk is apparently very low though |

About the same as crossing the road in front of bus, it's possible but I'm sure you're careful who's mouth you shove it in, so you'll be fine.

The risk varies from STI to STI - some the risk is less with oral than penetrative sex, some the risk is less from receiving oral than giving it with all the risk obviously depends on the other person too.
