Should regular people that agree to meet then back out at last minute with crapy excuses be black listen somehow?
It's not fair on genuine people, if you realise that they are unreliable, well let's face you wouldn't have juggled your week to accommodate them .

i can generally tell a talker from a do-er |

I have had to cancel a meet when the guy was actually 5 mins from my house..
REASON.. my son had bumped his head bad at school...
It was last minute cancellation... couldnt be helped... and I didnt lose any sleep over cancelling.
why should people be blacklisted.. and actually if someone doesnt show up you can report it...

I see this a lot on here .. why can't people just put it down to experience without wanting to black list people etc
How on earth would it work ... you can't black list someone because something came up and they couldn't make it

"People sometimes have to cancel meets due to as above a family emergency to have them blacklisted would be bang out of order in my opinion."
I agree, life just gets in the way of the best made plans sometimes. Doesn't mean people should be punished for things out of their control. |

We've cancelled a meet when I got trapped on the motorway behind a bad RTA on my way home from work. There was nothing I could do to get back in time.
Should we be blacklisted? |

life happens and you can't help it if there's an emergency, my family always come 1st before any stranger and if there was even a minor problem I would cancel.
I was once in the middle of fun when I got a call to say my child had been sick and I was straight home to them.

blacklisted!! why?? for having a life outside of fab! if it happens once then put it down to unavoidable circumstances and move on! twice or more then just dont contact the person again! but if there was a blacklist button for peeps that miss one meet then half the site would be on it!

i was thinking this, was chatting over the weekend with a bloke we had to cancel with last month cos i came on...its not predictable now i am on the coil...i suppose we could have just let him come anyway
People have lives, its not hard to spot genuine reasons to cancel. |

You roll the dice you take ya' chances.
I do appreciate how fucking annoying it is, trust me I do know. But I have also needed to back out of arrangements once or twice, not often I admit, but still I would hate to think I didn't have that option if it was needed.

"People sometimes have to cancel meets due to as above a family emergency to have them blacklisted would be bang out of order in my opinion." wonder if you would feel the same if you had just drove 250 miles to a meet only to be rang 15 mins before and told that they had changed their mind. mmmmmm long 250 mile drive home |

My point was if people did on a regular basis, its not fair on those who make an effort......something unforseen , accident etc can happen to anyone, but regular accidents, means something else..... ..........isn't this a hot topic ! |

People cancel all the time nothing you can do about it fact! Their reasons may be crappy but the real reason might be you came across in a negative way in the last few communications and they had second thoughts. There is always 2 sides to a story theirs may be very different to yours. |

You can usually tell from verifications and chatting whether they are likely to cancel . There are wannabes , pic hunters and simple time wasting tossers on here and it would be great to verify them publicly - like a badge on their profile describing them for what they are !
However we can't do this and folk will always defend the indefensible so use your own block system and maybe mention such people in private posts when it may help save someone else wasting their time ?

"I think they should be flogged....publically
Steady on! A simple sign around their neck should suffice."
No.....I insist on a flogging, whilst they are wearing a sign around their neck.....and a rose up their arse. |

Oh come on Jane!!! If you are flogging them because they don't turn up for meets, you aint gonna get much for them, are you? Bet it wouldn't even cover the costs! |

I think you have to give people a chance but if it keeps happening then jog on its their loss.
Swinging is fun so putting presure on people if the have genuine reasons is a bit far.
Anyway after you have been in the scene as long as I have you can spot a timewaster a mile away! |

We have cancelled before, and had people cancell out on us.....as the saying goes "shit happens" if thier reason sounds like bullshit dont bother with them again.....if it sounds genuine then perhaps one last chance....xxx |
