Einstein has a couple of my favourites:
Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe.
And
If you can't explain something to a 6 year old, you don't understand it yourself |

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine as children do. It's not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own lights shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others. |

"This too will pass"
"I was taught these words by my grandmother as a phrase that is to be used at all times in your life. When things are spectacularly dreadful; when things are absolutely appalling; when everything is superb and wonderful and marvellous and happy – say these four words to yourself.
They will give you a sense of perspective and help you also to make the most of what is good and be stoical about what is bad.
This too will pass

During the Gulf War, General Norman Schwartzkopf spoke a lot about involvement and commitment. A journalist asked him to explain the difference.
He said think about a breakfast of bacon and eggs.
"The chicken is involved, but the pig is committed..." |

I have one that is an all time favourite but you’ll have to wait until it’s tattooed on my shoulder first..
There is this couple from Cyrano De Bergerac that have stuck with me for years, can’t divulge how they were delivered;
“As you take my heart, please leave me yours as to live without heart is impossible”
“If kisses could be written, you would read my letters with your lips..”

a quandary, could you change my mind? |
Making hundreds of friends is not a miracle. The miracle is making a single friend who will stand by your side even when hundreds are against you.
Sometimes you put up walls not to keep people out, but to see who cares enough to brake them down.
