As the English language is always evolving and sayings or words can have different meanings throughout the generations....
Do yo listen to the wireless or radio?
Go to the pictures or cinema?
Go to a disco or a club?

I tend to use old timer words like
wireless
Cinematic picture house
Discotheques
Television set
I dont shorten words, the same goes with names i address people by their full name like Benjamin, Patrick ect never shorten names. |
