Hi all.
I have tried to verify a lady I met last week, I'm not able to. The message I receive is "Once you have met or cammed with other verified users, they will be able to verify your profile for you."
How is that going to work if I haven't met anyone else?! It's a bit of a 'chicken or the egg' scenario....

Has she been verified before? If so, have her verify you first.
If you're both unverified then unfortunately you'll have to be verified by others before you can verify each other.
You can do this on webcam, or even better, get yourself to a club. |

"One of you has to be verified to be able to verify the other. Have either of you tried the cam rooms? Put a status up asking if someone sees you will they verify you x"

I can understand it in principle, I guess it should reduce the number of fake veris. It just seems like a desperate plea for me to 'ask' someone to verify me via cam.

Well I know how hard it can be for people just starting out here, so if we get along I don't mind meeting someone for a social so I can verify them =) |

Meeting in person Varifications are quite important for a number of reasons. They go someway to proving a person or persons are at least real and not a fake profile. Don't see the point of Web Cam varifications they don't prove anything.
It's hardly surprising that people don't want to meet unverified people as there are so many time wasters and fakes on here. Varifications are at least a start to prove that someone is a real person.
That said It's still open to manipulation, we have found people who are varified, where all the alleged varification profiles are hidden! or only have one varification themselves, from the profile they have varified themselves!! (Even having exactly the same pictures on both profiles)
If you don't like clubs, try to find you local social event organisers, plenty of those about and good way of dipping your toes in the water as they say.
Having said that profiles where all the varifications are along the lines of "met this person for a social, drink, coffee etc"
Clearly show that the use the site purely for socialising only and clearly dont play.
Socialising is important that's for sure as we have met people where there is no initial spark, but chat and converse a little and you find beauty is more then skin deep don't judge the book by it's cover etc.
Message privately If you would like to chat.
But don't get drawn into varifying
Someone you have never met just to get a varification back, it will back fire

I agree with all of the above, I too check out verifications and so many are suspicious - I don't make contact with the 'fishy' ones, an utter waste of time.
I'm also wary of singular webcam veris, they seem fishy to me, on this occasion, as suggested earlier in the thread, is to be cam verified by a verified user and then I'm able verify the lady I met and vice versa.
