Soooo..... we've had yet another message from a couple this evening.
I replied back to thank them for their compliments, but explained that as per our profile, we do not play with couples.
I expected a civil response. Instead, I've had a short response back, the gist of it being that they were being polite as I'm not really athletic looking, should put down curvy as my body type.
I know it was "sour grapes" - but being an eating disorder survivor (my twenties legacy), it's got to me a little. I'm a size 8 (upper body) 10 (lower body) - 34c bra. WTF!
Is there a definition on body types I should be aware of?

I'd say you were athletic or slim but it's up to you how you want to define yourself. I'm a size 14/16 and I'm short. I put curvy down on mine but I'm fat, that isnt an option though. That's why pics are put up, to show body size/shape. Definitely sour grapes, you are gorgeous x |

There is absolutely nothing wrong with your body! (ED survivor here too)
I think you've described yourself very well. Nice bum by the way |

Bless you, totally get where you're coming from. As someone who also has struggled through an eating disorder, through my teens, I know how hard it can be. The demons still try to rear up sometimes and it's a battle to not slide back again. People can be thoughtless and no one has the right to pass judgement.
You look amazing. The wife xx |

That is disgusting behaviour that you have had to deal with OP xx
Please try not to let it get to you, you are perfect just the way you are xxx
It shouldn't matter what size people are, everyone has feelings and shouldn't be treated so nastily, as if there isn't enough body consciousness already in society xx |

It's horrid how people feel the need to throw personal insults about because they can't handle rejection. I'm sorry you had to deal with that.
You look pretty perfect to me, I'd love to have your figure. |

Wouldn't care how you choose to define yourself, you would get it whatever you put down
What's the username so we can see if they've been honest or being hypocritical? |

Sorry to hear this. Mrs is literally a tri-athlete and describes herself as curvy as she is Latina. But those thighs are STRONG! It's all meaningless.
Your profile is gorgeous however. That's the best description x |

I would say tell them to go shove there message up their arse sideways and don't use lube
Or maybe something along them lines, it's not important what others think of you but what you think of you

"Nope. Self defined. Just sour grapes. "
I'm getting my big girl pants and think I've just decided to block couples now. It's a shame, because I get on with so many couples from the forums, on a social basis.
Thank you

I'm so sorry this happened to you, as a fellow ED survivor I know how much these comments can hurt.
You're beautiful, but unfortunately that's not a drop down option. Athletic suits you just fine, you look great- if I could have a body like that I definitely would =)
Try not to let it get to you lovely. |

Sour grapes definitely, you have a gorgeous figure and I think slim or athletic covers it fine.
I don't even look at what the body type description is I just look at pictures and it's all about if I like what I see.
Jeez some people are awful. |

"It’s a shame they used curvy as an insult and you took it as an insult.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with being curvy."
I totally see where you are coming from. I do not see curvy as an insult if the woman is curvy. But my OP was asking for a definition of curvy incase I was misleading people or didn't use the right label to describe myself on my profile? I have a round bum, but I'm not curvy, my boobs are but a handful at most.
So please don't make me out to consider being curvy an insult. I absolutely do not.
And please consider the fact that I had a body image issue in my 20's that still rears its ugly head from time to time. Try having bulimia for 5 years, and beaten it over and over again as it tries to resurface at every opportunity, then consider how you'd feel.
xN
PS: I reckon I'm now going to change my body type to fabulous.

I'm sorry you had this OP
People often feel entitled to comment on people's body shape on here. It's entirely up to you how you choose to describe yourself, if other people don't agree then Sod um and they should keep their opinions to themselves.
