When guys copy and paste their messages but are too lazy to actually just do the message and include the heading and the ‘1 minute ago’ from sending it to the previous recipient

No originality anymore lol

More effort than most women.

On the rare occasion I get a message from a woman it just says "face pic?"

Or when their typo repeats when they've sent it to you five or six times.

A copy paste I'll always delete. A personal message I'll at least consider.

Was just about to say the same thing! The first time he mentioned Jo but later in the message he referred to her as Lisa! Twice!

If your playing the numbers game then spamming messages is sadly common. It is however

1) not effective

2) is disrespectful to those who actually put effort into writing a profile

3) lacks imagination and makes you forgettable

It's worse when fakes do it

I don’t even know how to copy and paste. And i would prefer a ice breaker then someone’s life story for a first message. Because no matter what it says if no attraction it’s being deleted

I had a guy send me the same cut and paste message 4 times over a 2 week period. Original message said he was looking for a couple the next 3 he managed to change the word couple to a female.....I suppose that was he way of making an effort

I can't say I've ever sent a stranger a message of under ten words, possibly twenty, on Fab.

He should be so lucky to receive that kind of correspondence then, but women are just as 'guilty' for lack of effort. There's just less of them here so they dont get moaned about.

I disagree, you’d stand more chance reading their bio and getting an understanding of what they are about and actually writing something that relates to them. It may be a swinging site but we are all humans and the power to converse is half of what it's all about

I don't have problem with a bit of copying and pasting, but they should at least do some personalisation. They should address us by name for example. Why does hardly anybody do that? It seems like such a basic courtesy. They should also say what caught their eye about us and why the think we could be a good match. Those things can't be the same for everybody. Stuff about them they can repeat as far as I'm concerned. Luke

Women are just as guilty of poor messaging.

No effort at all. I often get hi/hey/what you doing/face pic or variations of.

Speaking of putting the wrong name, some lady fabbers have very similar names.I messaged one and my phone auto carroted to another very similar user name of a lady I had messaged

I'd say on balance given my inbox, women are worse.

I don't want copy pastes from anyone.

It’s just laziness and also shows that they haven’t paid any attention or actually want to put any effort in, they just want a quick fix I guess without the effort

We had one this morning from a lady that simply said “meet”....

Our response was equally simple. “No”

Inaswingdress I definitely think people who are messaging you should have plenty to write judging from you’re bio.

You’ve given them ample topics to bring to the message

Probably the best bio that I’ve seen in a long long time

It's usually quite easy to tell if it's a form message. You have the option of delete and block.

Great way to separate the wheat from the chaff.

C&P suggests laziness, desperation and a real probability that the sender didn't even read your profile thoroughly.

It's almost like email spam from Nigerian princes and diplomats; send enough out and, eventually, someone will fall for the con.

Not a prob with guys pasting as long as they don't thrown their dummies out when it goes straight to delete. Alas so many men are childish and petulant and complain then or try and redirect the issue lie some on here.

I do smile when you point out though that you are not into generic pasted messages and they lie it isn't when you have a friend who received the same message.

On the flip side I'm wondering how much time and effort all of us put in?

A guy send me a cut and paste today, the exact same message complete with typo that he sent me 3 months ago.

When I pointed it out, he said it was to remind me who he was.
