Leinster, exeter, racing and toulouse have all won their groups.... clarmont and ulster will both probably go through if they don't slip up...
so really it is any 2 from northampton, saracens, and gloucester.... with glasgow having an outside shot
even next weekends saracens vs racing game could well be 2nds vs 2nds depending on how both teams decide to approach it.... |

Sexton is natural choice, but wonder if injury/ being taken out early in matches will mean he won’t end up doing much captaining .. he is clocking on a bit at 34 |

update....
looks like saracens are going to accept another 35pt deduction for still playing above salary cap rules...
which will me 2 things...
1) they will be relegated to the championship
2) they won't be allowed to play in european competition next year even if they win the european cup (ERC have confirmed comp is only open to Premiership, Top 14 and Pro 14 teams)
sound like from reports they have been playing at a level as much as 2 million over the salary cap rules! |

the other thing is you have to also ask how they are going to get below the cap... because you can't agree to compensation to cut contracts short, because that will go against the cap! (didn't know that before!)
also the england players can't go to france because they won't be considered for england (and probably the lions)
so liam williams is going back to cardiff... you wonder if the welsh and scottish players will be approached by their provinces (sean maitland, duncan taylor)
also..... you do see if the big players will be loaned out to other clubs... if they have spaces! |

Hi _abio. I believe the english players can be picked if they stay & are relegated, im certain they can be. Its all a mess but this isnt the first time an eyebrows been raised at saracens. Despite this being the worst kept secret, the premier league ltd knowing about this going on for all this time, they still insist on being cloak and daggers about the actual detail and the facts.

Yep, thats saracens officially relegated at the end of the season. Be interesting to see what happens with the players as there is plenty talent at the club and not sure many of them want to play in the second tier.

okay... that was gutsy by sarries...
that puts them in the final "quarter final" at the moment before the Toulouse vs Gloucester game, and gloucester will need a bonus point victory...
so it will be interesting to basically see if sarries rest all the top players in the league to then play them in the cup!
also.... if i am no.1 seeds leinster, even though the quarter final would be at landsdown Road i'd be gutted to see Saracens as the "8 Seed"..... |

if i was a leinster fan this is exactly the biggest fear of what saracens will do... and if i was saracens that is exactly what i would do!

Its wrong- they have been caught cheating but can still use the players in question to compete for the top prize in club rugby

I am also hoping her departure has nothing to do with the fact you didn't oblige her with a snuggie photo  - I would hate you forever
Swing low .... not sure banning it from being sung will do anything to tackle racism.
If anything I think its history and its use in society does more good than if it was erased from the record.
There is also the point that if you try to tell a rugby crowd not to do something, then they will do it more and with extra volume..
I'm sure next up for review will be the Scottish anthem... i mean what could be offensive with singing at the top of your voice about slaying the english...  |

But I'd happily see the back of Flower of Scotland. Always thought it was a bit of a dirge. |

actually i didn't mind the no crowd noise at bristol... i think its more interesting hearing the shouts and calls of the players and the refs...
so... what do we all make of the exeter situations and sticking two fingers up at bt sport by blearing the tomahawk music over the tanoy..... |
