When was the last time you were asked for ID?
C gets asked all the time. For paracetamol, alcohol, anything. Last week it was for calpol for our baby
Today I was asked for ID for the first time. The man (who serves us quite a lot so we’re chatty enough) was chatting, and asked how old we were. He then asked C for ID, and then asked me. I told him ‘I don’t have my purse on me, so I don’t have my ID’
‘Ah okay. I’ll let you off this once!’ |

Last year. Getting IDd on my 35th birthday was great though, I was out with a load of early 20s friends from uni and I was the only one that got IDd
I've had several people think my eldest son is my brother |

I never get asked. Sometimes when the self checkout triggers tgecskarm and some moidyvyouth validates it I look at them confused and ask do they not need to check my ID and they just look at me with a special sort of disdain they clearly reserve for old people that annoy them |

Never been asked to prove my age, but did have to produce photo ID at a driver awareness course a couple of years ago. Only thing I had with photo on was my shotgun license, have since surrendered my license and sold guns so now have nothing with photo ID. |

Theoretically if you have been asked and can’t provide ID, it would then be illegal for them to serve you used to work at a large supermarket at they were very hot on this - they did internal ‘secret shoppers’ and you would get fined 90 quid out of your wages and a disciplinary if you failed to ID someone when they were underage... |

Cigarettes, two years ago. I was genuinely taken aback. Had to go find another shop as they point blank refused. I know I don’t look old but I’m perfectly aware that I look older than 18. Or 21. Or 25. Or 30 for that matter. Weirdest thing ever. |

Christ I think it was last time I tried getting on the bus for 5p on my way into town for a night out.
So I was probably about 17
Everyone seems to get ID’d at some point. I feel I’ve missed out. Not sure what it says about me |

A few years ago, I was asked for I.D., when purchasing 2 bottles of wine at a supermarket.
Really? I'd just turned 60, with silver hair, a Licensee no less plus been an ex-SIA security officer with full CRB check ... and they wanted to check I was old enough?
I recommended the guy he went to a decent Optician! |
