What % of people you all think lie about their age on fab? I hd say 50% or more. A lot of people have admitted to me about lieing about their age on fab, so much that I am beginning to think it may be the norm |

I should have added that I dont mean a few weeks or months off, I am talking like 2 -10 years off. I have seen someone claim to be 13 years younger than they actually are |

I dont know, but I do wonder what percentage of people worry too much about what others do on here with regards to their use of Fab?
I think I spend 0 to 0.1% of my time worrying about others use of fab if they dont involve me.  |

My age is my true age
Thinking about the fab men I’ve met, most have turned out to be older than their profile states. Usually by only a couple of years, but several have actually been 10 years or more older.
My guess would be about 60% of profiles are slightly age adjusted

Mine is true...the big 40 in June.
Although I'm told life starts there, so not too many worries just yet Haha
I did however meet a lady a while back who had her age showing as considerably lower on her profile, I just dont understand why people feel the need to do it. |

Mine is just about to change and is accurate but at least 75% of people I've met off here say they are younger than they are tbh unfortunately when I've found out my opinion if them all goes down a little  |

Your age is your age. Just live with it. It is a badge to show you’ve arrived where you are. Be proud of it. Not getting older is surely not an option?

In 4 weeks time I will be celebrating my 80th Birthday and the start of my 9th decade
I see no point in putting a false age on your profile you will eventually get rumbled.
I have a friend on here who quotes her age on her profile as being 57 when in reality she admits to being 65 |

I went speed dating a few months ago, 30-45 years category. Last guy I spoke to was visibly much older. I asked about his age. He told me 54..
So he's lied when he booked himself - as organiser told me he registered as 45yr old. |

I've been told I should shave a few years off as I look pretty young, but I'm perfectly happy being the age I am. It annoys me no end when people lie about their ages - or anything else. Own your self. |

Mine is accurate. I've spoken to people who've pretended to be both older and younger to cheat my filters and it's a fucking dick move. It's the definition of harassment. You know damn well I don't want to talk to people your age and I've used the protection the site provides but you lie so you can message me anyway. |

20% I would say of people with their first profile 90% of those returning though since the site only let you make one age argument a few years ago.
People do it so they can mail people out of their age range simple as that. |

What I mean - isn't tinder over 18 site? You would need to pay to your network provider to be able to use adult sites - if she's 15, they wouldn't let her. |

Depends. I swap loads of pics before meeting so they know exactly what I look like. Some I "confess" to before meeting. Others it just doesn't seem relevant at all. It has never put anyone off as nearly everyone I've met has asked to meet again.
I'm not keen on the attitude displayed that everyone who lies about their age does it to cheat their way into a meet. But I expect nothing less from the fab forum and it's collective single vision. Fab forum. The only place where the world is strictly black or white. |

I really don’t care if they hide their true age. There’s plenty of ways to avoid disappointment. I just don’t see the point at my age of hiding it, I look my age. |

47 in a couple of months. Sometimes when asked how old I am I have to think not because I lie about my age but I bloody forget lol.
I know quite a few do lie about their age on here and not sure why, one in particular his current profile says he is 30 yet I know he is my age. |

Lying by a year a few months to hide personal details isn’t quite the same as knocking fifteen years off.
So those that have said “I only did it to hide personal details” How much did you knock off? One year, five, ten???
Anymore than a year & a month then surely you are kidding yourselves and it was NOT the main reason you did it.

Last guy that contacted us aimed around 15 years young on his and didn't like being asked about it. Think it was when he tried to 'come clean' and was obviously so far short I asked him if that was before VAT |

Did consider taking 35 years off so I could complain about older women not replying to younger men, also considered adding 39 years to see if Fab exploded when it clicked over to 100. But my lack of initial imagination meant I put my real age on by mistake  |

Thing is if you are a year or two over their actual preferred age, they would just ignore the message anyway, so the filter stops you wasting time sending an ignored message. Got to be a win for both sides, plus you can hotlist them and let them get worn out by the youngsters then message them when they change preferences |
