Men wearing jewellery

My boyfriend got a medallion necklace for Christmas from his mum. I have never been one for jewellery and neither has he but he is wearing this constantly. I appreciate that it is sentimental but seeing him in it is a real turn off. Thoughts?

I wouldn’t care, I’d think it was sweet if my husband wore it.

If Something so simple is a turn off to you I would be re-evaluating my thoughts and relationships. When it got to a point that one of my exes breathing annoyed me I knew I was done.

Otherwise support him in his choices

Beast wears beads, neck and wrist ones, they suit his style and I love them on him.

Growing up I wanted my ears pierced, but only if I could have a pair of black pearl earrings. So glad my dad point blank said no!

I don’t own any jewellery not even a watch so I’d be amazed if anyone brought me something like that. However if your OH wants to wear what his mom gave him then let him. It’s part of the give and take of a relationship.

I like natural jewellery on guys: beads, leather etc. I'm not all that drawn to chains.

Niki hates ALL jewellery - her ears are pierced but she won't even wear earrings!

One of my family bought her a very pretty blue and silver bracelet for Christmas - it's already been posted to her niece

Probably wouldn't go down well if I became 'medallion man' - thankfully I have no desire to!

Perhaps you need to say it's distracting you OP?

I wear a silver chain that was bought for me as a 21st birthday present, wouldn't wear anything with a medallion or earrings though, that's 70's porn star material.

I dont wear jewelry, not even a watch. If my mum bought me a necklace I'd wear it when I saw her just so she knew I appreciated the gift, but I'd have it off again as soon as I got home. If wearing a necklace is your only turn off about your man then you are doing rightly OP

This.

The guy I'm seeing off site has a tiny hoop in one ear, two Thai prayer bands on one wrist and a little medallion ring that his mum gave him when he was 18, twenty years ago. None of those bother me one bit.

I've got no problem with jewellery on men. If Mr N started wearing a baker boy cap I would find it a turn off though. I mean I love him and everything but that would be a step too far.

I wear a chain round my neck, I don't think Miss.Red likes it that much but that's because it bangs her nose when I bang her.

I don't like jewellery on men apart from their wedding ring and a watch.
