#this was a pointless public announcement. I apologise if this thread in any way offended people in an orchestra. Or to people who actually thought I had the horn and fancied a dabble. |

British brass bands don't usually have a trumpet. They are usually only used in American marching bands and jazz bands. The cornet is the norm in a British brass band. |
