Why oh why are we penalised for wanting to work ... I'm in agony with toothache...will be popping pain killers for the next month because this month I have to pay car mot God knows how much that will be dentists for all should be free why do we have to suffer when ppl who dont work for whatever reason (please this is not a dig at ppl who dont work ) it's a dig at government because they think just because we work we can afford to pay... councils tax full rent dentist ..who charge earth docs prescriptions I think are fair  I don't earn enough to look after myself but they want me to work and if I'm in pain I still have to go to work because I can't afford not too ... if this dont make sense its bc I'm half d*unk trying to rip out my tooth that's causing me pain  |

I had that this year luckily I have dental insurance but it’s annoying as I have to pay up front then claim back and you don’t always get the full amount back

I work for myself & yes I did go in for an hour or so on Christmas Day much to H’s disgust. Upside is the “Workshop” is at home, 200yds from the house.
Needs must, the work is here so I have to do it, my business grows on feedback & word of mouth. Many (not all) customers don’t tend to recognise illness or holidays, Not yours anyway. They just know time & how long you’ve taken with their job.
Still rather be doing it than commuting to some office like I used too though despite not earning as much now. Do miss sick & holiday pay though!
