When on earth did it become so hard to buy a pair of trainers?

Went to Kingston today, JD sports was just insane with a queue for the till going round the store. Also overheard a memeber of staff tell a customer you cannot try on today as they are too busy...

Foot Locker, they seemed to stock every shoe but the ones I wanted

Foot aslyum, never been in there before... Terrible music, lovely staff, then they handed me the box with the shoes I wanted, I opened it up to find the display shoes in there... I said sorry I am not paying £42 for a display shoe...

Just looked on line, they all have 3-5 working day delivery time...

Feeling old, normally trainer shopping make me happy as the shoe fits

Northampton Somewhere

I need new trainers to. A lot of shops seem to concentrate on fashion trainers as opposed to gym ones these days!

I went in to buy a pair on Friday morning. They took my foot size at 8?? The pair I brought was a size 11 and the Dr Martin's boots was a size 10. The Solomon walking shoes I was wearing is a 10.

And the black wedge sandals I brought in Tesco was a 9

The Adidas Outlet store online has regular, brilliant offers.

All my running shoes are Adidas and my 'day wear' trainers.

I always find I need half a size bigger in Adidas.

Online shopping is the way forward. Have you tried ASOS or office, they always have really decent trainers
