Blimey it is blowing up a gale here today! Quite a dramatic change since the beautiful calm and clear Christmas day yesterday.

I am very glad I was able to get out for a walk yesterday as I feel I will be staying inside today all warm and cosy and battoning down the hatches!

Are any of you forumites braving the weather today for a Boxing day walk?

Solihull

Im a great believer that 99.9% of the time here's no such thing as weather bad enough to prevent people going out for a walk in the UK just wrong clothing

I was supposed to go for a walk yesterday, but ended up in bed, initially to rest after a large Christmas dinner with the ex, ended up a shagathon. It was dark when I went back down stairs, today it’s pissing with rain, and my ex has gone home

A shagathon with your Ex. Does that mean she is no longer your "Ex"?

I had a very uncharacteristic attack of loneliness last night - so i'm going to put my walking boots on, brave the drizzle and get out into nature to clear my head

I hope that helps you. I only had a short walk yesterday but it was so peaceful and quiet with hardly anyone about. And I could hear the birdsong which normally gets drowned out by traffic noise!

Just grey, wet, and rainy here in the midlands.

Think I'll go back to bed.

Stockport

I had a walk in the hills yesterday, some of it in sunshine, some of it in cloud.

Grey and damp here today but I'll head out for a run soon. Just wish there was someone to help me warm up afterwards

Manchester (she/her)

Duvet day and gym day for me. Expecting a nice day in December around here is a recipe for disappointment!

Wirral

I always go for a good walk on boxing day. This year I'm full of cold, but I still put on my hat and scarf and went for a stomp along the prom at 8am.

It was gloriously solitary and did me a power of good.

It's just as well I went early because it's tipping it down now and looks set to be for the rest of the day.
