I used to live in the same street as that Dave the Buses guy and near Ruth Jones.
I don’t like G&S really - think it’s overrated. That’s tantamount to treason for a Welsh person .
I don’t care though - I hate The Stereophonics and think Delilah is the worst song ever written.
I’ll have to flee for my life |

"James corden is too much of an arsehole for me to watch him.
This add in Larry Lamb and that's twice the reason why we won't watch it. "
I love Larry ! |

Me too, he’s hot, and him and Pam are our couple goals |

Uncle Bryn aside, that was a load of old twaddle. 'Let's keep referencing everything from the previous series and try and pass this as new. Rubbish. Pete and Dawn arguing, tension between Nessa and Smithy, same old phrases, dancing like robots to greet each other, Stacey feeling worried about the relationship.
Nope, not for me. |

I must have fallen asleep in the middle and missed the joke.
I actually like James Corden but I find the show very contrived, especially when they just refer to random things that simply aren't funny.
Merry Christmas |

I gave it a go. I didn’t mind the original series too much, but didn’t get all the adulation.
I honestly thought it was toe-curlingly bad .
I suppose I get pedantic too - the accents are all wrong for Barry, except Nessa, and I never heard effing “what’s occurring?” In all the years I worked there!
Glad it brightened up others’ evenings though |

For all the people who disliked it here, the preliminary viewing figures are in..... 11.5 million averaged with a 12.3 million peak
Those numbers are huge! Even for Xmas! It will likely end up being the most viewed programme of the year |

It's a bit like a tranny, not everyone's cup of tea, a bit diffrent, not sure what the attraction is, rather confusing, dam good fun and makes no sense but loads of people like it, loads of people hate it, and many are just giving it a go out of curiosity.
Each to their own xx xx |

It was alright.
I didn’t watch any of the original ones and don’t particularly like Corden.
My two main thoughts were that Smithy wouldn’t be pulling his bird on a month of Sundays and that Stacey is the woman who had her tits out in Love Actually-but they looked a lot bigger last night... |

It was noticeable that there were no homophobic jokes which were present in almost every episode of the previous Gavin and Stacey.
I thought it was really good. |

"I watched it last night even though I'd never seen it before. Have to say I wasn't impressed - contrived plotting, not particularly funny. Won't bother again."
Watching it for the first time you'd not understand the characters and back story's
Was it great, no
Was it watchable, yes

I liked Stacey green dress.
It was ok, when Only Fools did Christmas specials like the 'jolly boys outing' there seemed to be more to enjoy and also didn't have to be set at Christmas either.
This seemed to be the ultimate Family Christmas with weird family members, so over dramatic in its writing maybe even lacking some of the warmth of the original series. I did like Ness attempt at a Tattoo however |
