For me money is tight this year, so I'm buying for immediate family only.
I think that it can be awkward if you receive a gift and haven't reciprocated. I don't mind so much giving and not receiving, I suppose it depends on the other persons situation. |

Though honestly, I rarely buy gifts, and I can only guess it's because I just never expect any. Gifts make me uncomfortable.
