In an auberge in France with a handwritten menu order what I read as crevettes provencale, what actually came was cervelles,
Not prawns but brains, yes I did try it but couldn't eat it. The napkins were fabric so had to make a quick dash to the loo |

pretty much anything I have cooked for myself
Fried some squid once, didn't like the look of it, asked my partner to try a bit first... he immediately threw up in the kitchen sink.
Tried giving it to the cat but he kept shoving his paws down his throat |

"Boiled camel fat
Have you tried poaching it lightly in some semi skimmed milk?
Ill recommend that to the chefs next time I see them "
It has to be done with a big dollop of horseraddish or English Mustard though. |

Blimey I worked out in Abidjan in my misspent. We used to go water skiing on the lagoon and go out to sea. Well we did until a shark fin appeared 20 feet to starboard ...
Luckily we had a Senegalese cook at the hotel so it was CousCous or variations on achicken theme.
Worst food? I asked for Prawn Salad in Barcelana many years ago (expecting the bed of lettuce and pink things) but when they arrived they were like bloody lobsters. Complete. Winking at me. And waving. And no bloody lettuce. |

"Olives - only ever tried them once, yuk "
+1, but I love olive oil.....
oddest thing I've eaten was Cuy (we call it guinea pig) in Peru....didn't taste too bad, but picking the bits up by the little claw felt a bit weird |

it's between sea cucumber, shark and conch.
shark because of the texture the other 2 because of texture and taste.
although the first thing my ex wife cooked me was fish cakes cooked in the microwave for 30 minutes, i don't have a clue what they tasted like as i couldn't cut them, eat them, taste them or break them
thank god for pot noodles

Sheeps testicles. They are considered a delicacy in some parts of the world oh and also brain as well. Just the smell alone was enough to put me off yet my friend was munching away. An acquired taste is what I thought.
