Somewhere

It’s 44 degrees here in Oz at the moment and we have over 100 bushfires burning in NSW - most of them out of control. I can’t remember the last time I saw green grass...

What’s the weather like where you are?

Tell me about it. I land in London tomorrow from sunny Auckland which is 27 degrees. NSW is too hot!

I lived in Perth for 10yrs, this my 3rd winter back here. I miss the heat but know what it's like to sneak the retic' on at night just to imagine it was raining. I welded once on a job during the summer which was pre-heated to over 300 degrees indoors and drank 10 litres of water in an 8hr shift without the need for a bathroom break. Kidneys probably looked like sultanas lol

You are absolutely correct. We have almost 4 seasons in a day here in the UK

most fundamental aspects

Here in Malaysia, it’s a heat index of 40 with 80% humidity. Hottest mid winter day this pale Scotsman has experienced.

West Wales

A week or so ago we awoke to -5c here, Thursday it was 10c, Yesterday 4c.

Only thing the same is the rain as it’s pretty much rained here at some point every day now for a month @ our lane off the mountain is in danger of being washed away! Welcome to Mid Wales

Just wish we could magic the weather here over to Aus

This morning, London is cold and damp, like when you have to wear trousers before they’ve properly dried.

It’s rained nearly everyday since mid July, parts of the country are flooded, roads have been washed away and it’s not even below 0 ..... it’s really a wet damp summer

West Wales and Cardiff

I love winter and would hate to live somewhere where it gets so hot. The amount of rain has been crazy this year though.

Still wouldn’t swap it though

North Notts

Swings and roundabouts spring to mind.

Cool, wet and slightly miserable here but we’d take that over the searing heat, wildfires, pain and destruction Australia is currently experiencing any day x
