"What pie would you have to warm you on a cold damp Friday?
I would have chicken, leek and mushroom pie specifically from The Royal Oak Hotel in Betws y coed."
That’s a Betws y coed type of pie for Betws y coed weather.
Personally I’m a good old Meat and Potato type of guy. |

"Either a Steak and Alex pie or a Chicken and mushroom in white wine sauce pie... from local market.
Poor Alex "
I wonder if it is difficult persuading Alex to lay still long enough to get the pastry on? |

"Scouse pie
Dare I ask....What is in this? "
Scouse is like a type of stew. It's where Scousers got their nickname from as sailors used to eat it (it was called lobscouse back then) and with Liverpool being a port city it was full of sailors. |

"I would consider a cornish pasty as a pie.
I am calling the police
Surely the definition of a pie is a filling fully encased in pastry and that's what a pasty is. "
Different name, same composition |

"Cheese pie.
I had never heard of this until I worked in Stoke
"
It is mostly potato. Chips and cheese was another discovery, then Lobby, which is basically what we call stew in Cheshire |

Er ... well.
Your definition is very nearly correct. The full definition is ... 'any filling fully encased in pastry, except a pasty' I rest my case m'lud x |
