I've just been IDed in Poundland at the age of 30.

Wouldn't have minded so much, but it was for scissors and I was clearly carrying a ton of wrapping stuff too.

I regularly get ID'd for alcohol but it's challenge 25 and I'm 27 so not the surprising. Solvents and scissors have made me laugh. Though the worst was my ex getting refused cigarettes because I was with him and didn't have ID. As if we'd be daft enough for me to go to the till with him if he was buying them for me and I was underage.

When I went to America in 1986, I was 22 and my then gf was 27. We had a 4 hour wait at Atlanta Georgia before an interstate flight to Phoenix Arizona. When we went to the bar, the waitress asked her for id She had no qualms when I went to the bar for the next round

Not asked for id as such, however last year a local shop was selling off bottles of anti-freeze for pence so I bought about 10 bottles.

I got stopped at the til and the manager was called. She wanted to know what I was planning on doing with it

Apparently someone locally had been poisoning cats with anti freeze so good on her for checking.

I was in a supermarket and young girl asked a guy in his 70's his age for a bottle of whiskey

I think she was new, the old guy had a right rant at her so I told him to take it as a compliment

Scissors you say?

You know you should never run with scissors.

And lesbians should never scissor with the runs....

When I was 35 a club in Blackpool wouldn’t let me in as I didn’t have ID to prove I was 21! My 26 year old mate was put out as they didn’t ask her for ID. The others thought it was funny, but as I’m really short and we were in fancy dress I just took it as that x

You have to be 18 to buy scissors... So technically that sales assistant thought the same as you!

Good to know that challenge 25 is taken seriously, even if over zealous in some cases! Oooo the fine if they get it wrong!
